Mufti has no role in resolving Kashmir dispute: Geelani

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) Syed Ali Geelani said that Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed doesn’t have any role in the resolution of Kashmir issue.
According to a statement, Geelani while interacting with media person in New Delhi said Mufti-led government can’t change the status of Kashmir issue.
He (Mufti) can’t have any role in the resolution of the Kashmir dispute because his stand will be explained and represented by his masters in New Delhi and they can do it in a better way,” Geelani said.
“Kashmir is not the issue of good or bad governance but it is the issue of the future of a nation which can’t be solved without consulting its people,” he added.
He said that Mufti endorses Indian stand on Kashmir. “So his government can’t change the status of the Kashmir dispute.”
“People like Mufti are free to construct roads and bridges here but they have no relevance when it comes to making big decisions regarding the state.”
Geelani said that Mufti and all other pro-India politicians were fully aware of this fact, “but they sometimes talk about the resolving of Kashmir issue merely to deceive the common man.”
“BJP want to implement the RSS agenda in Jammu & Kashmir. They have kick started a dangerous plan of changing the demography and the Muslim identity of this state and the PDP government can’t stop this.”
Geelani said Mufti Sayeed will not take any more risk with regard to the releasing of political prisoners and the return of power projects after observing the mood of the authorities in New Delhi.
