Hurriyat (G) remembers Brariaangan victims

Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (G) Thursday paid tributes to the people killed in police firing at Brariaangan, Shangus area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district on April 3, 2000.
In a statement, a party spokesman said that eight persons including Molvi Hanief Khan, Noorani Khan, Fayaz Ahmad Khan, Noor-ul-Amin Khan, Mo¬hammad Rafiq Khan, Mushtaq Ahmad Khan, Akhtar Ali Khan and Nisar Ali Khan were killed in the police firing on April 3 2000 at Brariangan Shangus.
The spokesman de¬manded registration of cases against the then SSP Farooq Khan and other personnel who are respon¬sible for the incident.
The spokesman said that a delegation of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat led by district president Mir Hafizullah visited the Brariangan Shangus area where they met with the families of the victims and the families of 36 per¬sons who were injured in the incident.
