Locals demand clean Trikuta Nagar

Jammu: Local welfare society and residents of Trikuta Nagar Monday urged Jammu Municipal Corporation to keep the area clean.
Among other demands, they asked authorities to enforce strict ban on use of polythene and clean nallahs passing through it.
The demands were raised by the Trikuta Nagar welfare society and the residents after Soujanya Kumar Sharma Commissioner JMC visited the area to hear their grievances.
Vikram Gour, President of the welfare society, and the residents urged the Commissioner to provide dust bin for collection of domestic garbage, to clean three ‘barsati’ nallahs passing through the area, carry repairs of the street lights and high mask lights as well as black top all damages roads.
They also urged him to ensure strict ban on polythene carry bags and sterilize the stray dogs in the area
The Commissioner issued on the spot instructions to the concerned wings of JMC for redressing the problems facing the people.
He also assured the welfare society that JMC will shortly start a cleanup drive in all wards for clean and green Jammu.
