JKLF announces prog to mark anniversaries of party leaders

Srinagar: JKLF Thursday said that the pro-freedom group will hold several programmes to commemorate the upcoming death anniversaries of its party leaders.
In a statement, party chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik said that to mark the anniversary of Jalil Andrabi, the Front will hold a sit-in protest at Partap park on March 27 to denounce “ill-treatment” meted out Kashmiri prisoners languishing in different jails.
He further said that on the same day, Quran Khwani will be held at party head office and at all other district offices.
Malik said that to commemorate anniversary Ishfaq Majeed Wani and Shabir Ahmad Sidiqi, a condolence meeting will be held at Marty’s graveyard Eid Gah on March 30.
“On April 1, a blood donation camp will be held at Abi Guzar to mark the anniversary of doctor Abdul Ahad Guru. Hameed blood bank will organize the camp in which JKLF leaders and well wishers will donate blood.”
Malik further said that the programmes will be held to pay homage to the leaders who have sacrificed their lives for the Kashmir movement.
