Students, teachers demand dewatering of Sopore school

Baramulla: A government primary school in north Kashmir’s Sopore town is under water giving a tough time to the students.
Reports said that government primary school Lalad Payeen in Sopore town is deluged since past many days and the authorities were making no efforts to dewater it.
“The school ground and path is also under water from past many weeks but the administration is making no efforts to dewater it. Both the students and teaching staff are facing problems to reach the classes,” a teacher said.
He said that teachers and villagers brought the matter into the notice of the concerned authorities; however, no action has been taken so far.
When contacted SDM Sopore, Nasir Ahmad he said that he will look into the matter.
