Doda: The educationists and members of various organizations Monday demanded an engineer and a B.Ed College for the Doda area of Jammu region.
Organizations including Doda Development Front (DDF), All India Students Federation (AISF),.Rehbar-e-Taleem Teachers Forum Doda, Education Development Society (EDS) and Doda Welfare Society unanimously projected the demand for opening of such institutions for the benefit of the students of the Chenab valley.
DDF president Ishtiaq Ahmed Dew said that opening of an engineering college in Chenab valley will cater to the needs of youth opting to pursue various engineering courses.
“Unfortunately even in the present age of science and technology our youth have to suffer due to the lack of institutions for engineering and education.”
He said that the state government should ensure the establishment of Engineering and Education Colleges for Chenab valley so as to secure the career of thousands of our youth.
Abid Hassan, spokesperson Joint Civil Society while reiterating the said that people of Chenab valley have suffered great loss due to the lack of professional colleges in the area.
