SRINAGAR: The state government is working on three Tourism Projects at Dodpathri tourist destination in central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
“Construction work on three Tourism Projects at an estimated cost of Rs 10.99 crore is in progress at Dodpathri tourist destination under the Central Financial Assistance,” Minister for Agriculture, Ghulam Nabi Lone, told the House on Thursday.
Lone was replying to a question raised by MLA M Y Tarigami on behalf of Hakeem Mohammad Yasin.
He said New Delhi has released Rs 7.72 crore for execution of the schemes. The Minister also revealed that construction of Tourist Reception Centre (TRC) at the destination, with a cost of Rs 3.26 crore, is near completion. The construction work on “budgeted accommodation” and development of Dodpathri as tourist destination, with the cost of Rs 3.63 crore and Rs 4 crore respectively, are in progress, he added.
The Minister said, as many as 20 different tourism developmental works, costing Rs 14.30 crore, are also in progress under state plan at the destination while Rs 70.50 lakh have been utilized on these works upto the last fiscal.
