Srinagar: Over 50,000 students appeared Thursday in Class 10 examinations, which were delayed due to last year’s floods and later postponed due to bad weather.
According to JKBOSE, a total of 50304 students appeared in the English paper which was held at 520 centers in Kashmir Division.
Huge gatherings of eager students were seen outside the examination centers, along with the parents. “We are happy that the exams were finally conducted. It is a great relief,” said Fayaz Ahmed a parent.
“I was anxious whether the exams will be conducted or not. But now I am relieved that I have finally appeared in the exams” said Tooba Bashir, a student.
Due to the floods and the incessant bad weather, the exams were postponed many times and there were speculations regarding mass promotion of the class 10th students if the exams were not conducted on time.
Some students had already started studying class 11th and were in catch 22 situations till date.
