Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that they arrested three burglars in Mattan area of south Kashmir and recovered stolen goods and cash from their possession.
In a statement, a police spokesman said that police succeeded in cracking two burglary cases of previous year by arresting two burglars Fayaz Ahmad Sheikh son of Ghulam Nabi and Mohammad Younis Reshi son of Abdul Aziz Reshi residents of Kuller, Pahalgam.
The spokesman said that an LCD TV, two computer monitors with key board, six speakers, three DVD Players, memory cards, three tape recorders, stabilizer, seven headsets, a TATA Sky, six mobile phones and other goods were recovered from the possession of the arrested.
He said that with the arrest of these burglars and the recoveries police solved two burglary cases with FIR N0 75/2014 and 108/2014 under section 457, 380 RPC registered in police station Mattan last year.
The spokesman further said that during the questioning of the accused, police also zeroed in on another burglar Nayeem Ahmad son of Nazir Ahmad Bhat resident of Kuller Pahalgam.
On his arrest police recovered stolen cash worth Rs. 60,000 from him,the spokesman claimed.
