Jammu: The 300-km Srinagar-Jammu Highway remained closed for the fourth  day Wednesday  due to landslides at several places caused by rainfall over the past two days. However, over 2,000 vehicles stranded on the highway were allowed to move to their destination.
“There was no fresh movement of traffic on the  highway today due to landslides  and only stranded vehicles were allowed to proceed towards Jammu  later in the day,” DIG Traffic Jammu Ashkoor Wani told Kashmir Reader.
Wani said if the weather permits, only LMV(light motor vehicle) passenger vehicles will be allowed to proceed from Jammu to Srinagar in the morning.
