Ganderbal has 70 per cent CD ratio

SRINAGAR: District Level Review Committee and District Consultative Committee meeting was held Monday in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The meeting, held under the Chairmanship of District Development commissioner, was convened by the JK Bank, which is the Lead Bank of the district.
On the occasion, Lead District Manager briefed about the achievements of the banks operating in the district under District Credit Plan 2014-15.
The meeting was informed that the banks have disbursed a total amount of Rs 330.86 crore for establishment of 14,477 units at the end of the third quarter of the financial year 2014-15, registering an achievement of 76 per cent.
Out of this, Rs 261.12 crore have been disbursed for establishment of 13,027 units under priority sector and Rs 69.74 crore for establishing of 1,450 units under non-priority sector. CD ratio of the district stands at 70 percent.
Chairman DLRC stressed upon the banks as well as sponsoring agencies to play “vital role” in eradicating unemployment crisis of the district by achieving the set targets for setting up income generating units under various sectors.
He also advised the financial institutions to “sanction and disburse” the cases strictly as per guidelines and in close coordination with sponsoring agencies.
He advised NABARD and other concerned agencies for timely release of subsidy and margin money.
