Mirwaiz hails ‘Pakistan support to Kashmir cause’

SRINAGAR: Awami Action Committee on Saturday appreciated Pakistan’s constant support to the Kashmir cause and to the path of dialogue and hoped that India will also accept that subjugation of Kashmiri people cannot continue forever.
Spokesman of the AAC in a statement said that a meeting of Awami Action Committee was held at Mirwaiz Manzil, under the chairmanship of Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, which was attended by the District heads and workers of the party and volunteers of Dar-ul-Khair, wherein the political and economic situation in the valley was discussed.
Appreciating and commending the party workers for their selfless service in relief and rehabilitation work in the aftermath of the devastating floods, Mirwaiz stressed upon all party members especially the youth, to recommit themselves and redouble their efforts towards fulfilling the party’s vision and mission.
Mirwaiz said that right through the past more than 68 years AAC has remained steadfast in its belief and firm in its course of action that the political aspiration of the people of J&k has to be addressed according to their free will and choice and in this re-gard the party has played a leading role.
Referring to the recent Indo Pak Foreign secretary talks, Mirwaiz said that India must shun its obduracy and accept that there is no escape from the path of dialogue as an internationally accepted norm of settling issues.
He said he has been invited by the Pakistan High Commissioner in Delhi to brief him with regard to this meeting. In this regard an APHC meeting will be convened soon.
Mirwaiz appreciated Pakistan’s unf linching support to the Kashmir cause and to the path of dialogue and hoped that India will also accept that subjugation of Kashmiri people cannot continue forever.
Mirwaiz announced that on the completion of Golden jubilee celebrations of AAC a huge rally will be held on 20th June, 2015 in Srinagar to commemorate the efforts and contributions of the party leaders and workers during the past fifty years.
