SRINAGAR: State government Friday announced “strict action” against the traders who indulge in the sale of substandard fertilizers.
“Strict action will be taken against the dealers indulging in malpractices, including cancelling of license,” an official handout issued here quoted Minister for Agriculture Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura as revealing at a meeting held in Jammu.
The Minister was reviewing the work of Agriculture, Sericulture and JK Agro departments, the statement said.
The meeting, it said, was informed that 24,000 MT of fertilizers is available with the dealers, while more 20,000 MT is on way to meet the requirements of the farmers in the Kashmir Valley.
The comprehensive district agriculture plan-district Budgam was also discussed in detail, it said.
