ATOAK, JKSMA hail Mufti’s tourism vision

SRINAGAR: Adventure Tour Operators Association of Kashmir (ATOAK) and J&K Ski and Mountaineering Association (JKSMA) Thursday hailed the Chief Minister Mufti Muhammad Sayeed’s “vision of promoting tourism” in the state.
In a joint statement issued here, the associations welcomed the meeting of heads of different Tour and Travel Agent Associations of Kashmir with the CM held at Jammu on Wednesday, and thanked Director Tourism, Kashmir, Farooq Shah for organizing the meeting.
“During the interaction, The CM assured the delegation that he and his ministry will take all necessary steps to revive tourism, which is one of the most important industries in our state, with a special thrust on adventure tourism,” they said.
ATOAK and JKSMA said they assured the CM and Tourism Department of working work “in tandem” to promote the adventure tourism in J&K and that they “will always remain in forefront for making the tourist destinations across the state eco-friendly”.
