Army holds medical camp

Srinagar: Army organised a medical and veterinary camp in Hundri village of Nubra area in Ladkh province.
In a statement, an army spokesman said that the camp was organized on March 7 by its Siachen Brigade r and was aimed to provide free health checkup to both the villagers and their animals.
“Siachen area is very remote and isolated part of our country which is known as the highest battlefield of the world. The event was an endeavour by the Siachen Brigade to provide medical care to the local populace of this isolated region.”
He said that large number of locals participated in the camp. “A total of four doctors attended to 80 patients. Three veterinary doctors also attended to the live stock of the villagers,” he added.
