SSA teachers demand salary

Kangan: The teachers working in Education Department under Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) from Gund area l of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district Thursday appealed the government to release their salary pending since past five months.
A delegation of teachers told Kashmir Reader that they were facing immense hardships due to non-payment of their salary. “We have not received our salary since past five months. We went from pillar to post appealing the authorities to disburse of pending salary, however, no action has been taken so far,” SSA teachers from Harigainwan area said.
They threatened to launch an agitation if the authorities fail to release their pending salary before March 25.
When contacted, zonal education officer Hariganiwan, Abdul Rahim said, “We have brought the issue into the notice of the government. We will release pending salaries once the funds are made available to us.”
”Let’s hope that the problem is resolved solved soon.”

    We the SSA Teachers and ReTs are paying the price of sins that we didn’t commit. Those who are responsible for creating this mess hv been drawing their salaries without fail and we are being punished for what we didn’t do. Is Education Minister, anywhere, listening???
