SRINAGAR: J&K Bank this year is expected to register a total of 2,96180 pilgrims intending to take the annual Amarnath Yatra though its 87 designated Business Units spread across India.
This was disclosed by Zonal Head Jammu Arvind Gupta at the launch of this year’s registration.
On the launch, Gupta handed over the first yatra slip to Ujwal Sharma at the Bank’s Residency Road counter in Jammu.
Gupta said that people who plan to undertake the yatra can get themselves registered on first come first serve basis from any of these 87 Business Units.
Zonal Head further said that for registration the yatris will have to submit prescribed Health Certificate from the authorized Doctor,Medical Institute, Application Form and four passport sized photographs, as per the guidelines of Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board, along with the requisite registration fee of Rs 50.
The registration facility in Jammu is available at Residency Road, Bakshi Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Billawer, Udhampur, Rajouri, Poonch, Ramban and Doda business units of the Bank between 3 P.M and 6 P.M on all working days except Saturdays, when it will be available from 1 P.M to 4 P.M.
The Yatra is expected to run 59 days starting July 2.
