Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) Friday said that it will make all possible efforts to unite all pro-freedom groups and civil society members to pursue the Kashmir struggle.
In a statement, a spokesman said that this was stated in a joint meeting of Hurriyat (M) executive council, general council and working committee chaired by the former chairman Prof Abdul Gani Bhat at party headquarters.
The spokesman said that the members expressed satisfaction over the work of the two member committee formed by the party to contact other pro-movement political groups, members of legal fraternity and civil society groups to adopt a uniform approach on resistance movement related issues.
He said that the members took a detailed view of the organizational and ongoing political matters. “The meeting discussed threadbare US President Barrack Obama’s visit to India and its political significance for the South Asian region,” he said.
The spokesman said that the members termed the solution of Kashmir inevitable for the peace and prosperity of sub-continent. “The participants stressed upon the US that being the sole super power it should utilize its influence and offices to press for a dialogue between the stakeholders to the Kashmir dispute so that issue could be solved amicably in a friendly atmosphere,” he said.
He said that the participants also paid tributes to the militants killed in Tral gun battle.
