SpiceJet’s Super Sale sees highest demand for New Delhi-Srinagar

SRINAGAR: SpiceJet’s Super Sale offer has seen the highest demand for New Delhi-Srinagar sector in the first two days of the move crafted by the budget airliner to regain its lost ground.
“The Super Sale offer has thus far seen the highest demand for New Delhi-Srinagar sector, a trend that shows Kashmir Valley recovering from the impact of the floods last year and once again assuming its rightful place as a hot spot for holidays,” PTI quoted the company as saying in a release Friday.
In view of the high demand, SpiceJet has decided to extend the discount booking days by two more days, till February 1, the agency reported.
SpiceJet had on Wednesday announced its first ‘Super Sale’ offer of this year, with 5,00,000 seats for sale at all inclusive one-way advance booking fares, starting as low as Rs 1,499.
The ticket booking period of the three days was originally scheduled to end Friday.
The company had claimed that its bookings surged by a whopping 400 per cent on the first day of the launching of the offer.
SpiceJet witnessed booking volumes quadrupling on the first day of offer, indicating continuing pent up demand in the market despite other airlines having held sales earlier this month, it said,
