State to review, finalise efforts for ‘Make in India’

SRINAGAR: The state administration Wednesday asked for review and early finalisation of the measures required for implementing ‘Make in India’ campaigns in the state.
An official handout issued here said Governor N N Vohra directed Financial Commissioner Industries (FC I&C) Khurshid Ahmad Ganai to “personally review and very early finalise all the measures which need to be taken to implement the Make in India Campaign and Ease of Doing Business.”
Vohra, it said, also asked the FC I&C to “ensure early finalization” of the Trade and Industrial policies of the state.
Earlier, Ganai briefed the Governor about issues relating to industrial promotion, obtaining entrepreneurial environment, and about the status of cottage and village industries, and handicrafts and handloom sector in the state, the handout said.
“Governor stressed on the importance of every possible effort being made to secure balanced growth of the state through sustainable utilisation of all available natural resources in the state,” it added.
