Srinagar: J&K Bank organized financial literacy camps and short-term skill development and entrepreneurship development programmes in parts of the state.
In a press statement issued here, the Bank said the District Development Commissioner Bandipora Dr Shah Faisal inaugurated the residential batch at Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI) Bandipora for the flood victims of the north Kashmir district earlier this week.
The district’s Financial Literacy and Credit Counseling centre (FLCC) conducted various awareness programmes during the previous weeks at various places including at Brar, Keema, Zuri Mainz, Gujar Pati Aragam, Kani Bathi, Ajass, Nesbal and Tangpora Sumbal, it said. It said the FLCC centre Baramulla organized a series a financial literacy and credit counseling camps in different areas of the district including at Yedipora in Rafiabad, Wanigam and Aglar in Pattan, and Chakla in Janpazpora, it said, adding that the camps were held in collaboration with the local business units and RSETIs.
The statement said the Bank’s RSETI at Rajouri wrapped up its General Entrepreneurship Development Programme on January 21.
