Budgam district plan reviewed

BUDGAM: District Development Commissioner, Budgam Manzoor Ahmed Lone convened a meeting to review the District Plan and implementation of various centrally sponsored schemes.
Till December last year, spending of Rs. 39.96 crore have been carried out of the availability of Rs. 55.04 crore achieving a target of 72.61 percent.
Apart from this a road length of 131.15 Kms have been laid , 26.50 kms have been macadamised. Under Education sector, 40 schemes under Elementary Education with an estimated cost of Rs 2.16 crores are under progress at different stages out of which 18 schemes have been completed so far, while under Secondary Education seven schemes are under execution with an estimated cost of Rs five crore, out of which five schemes are near completion and under SSA, 378 PS buildings have taken up for execution with an estimated cost of Rs. 14.04 crore out of which 364 buildings stand already completed.
DDC has stressed up on the officers to gear up the field functionaries for achieving the targets without compromising with the quality of the work .
The meeting was attended by Additional District Development Commissioner Budgam, Additional Deputy Commissioner Budgam, Chief Planning officer Budgam and other officers of the District.
