SRINAGAR: Director Agriculture Kashmir Peerzada Muhtaq Ahmad Shah Wednesday formed a subcommittee of officers to coordinate for completion and submission of the Comprehensive District Action Plan (C-DAP) under RKVY.
An official handout issued here said the committee was formed in a meeting of officers convened by Shah.
The committee comprises of Joint Director Agriculture (Extension) Kashmir, A A Andrabi, Joint Director (Engineering) G H Guroo, and representatives of Director Horticulture and Sericulture, it said.
The committee will coordinate with the head of Economics and Director Extension department at SKUAST-K for the work, it said, adding that “C-DAP is to be finalised and sent to the government through Director Extension SKUAST-K….”
The Director, as per the handout, informed the meeting that there was a need to bridge the gap between the existing productions and to reach the optimum production level through extension and research at Agriculture department and allied sectors.
“The RKVY scheme is in force in J&K since 2008 and there is need for improvement in all the sectors to increase the growth rate and economy of the state,” he was quoted as saying.
