SRINAGAR: Tourism department participated in the Travel Trade Fair at Chennai as part of its efforts to increase the tourist flow to the Jammu and Kashmir post floods.
A press statement issued here said a large number of people visited the J&K Tourism stalls to know about the tourism scenario in the state.
Various meetings with the travel and trade bodies of participating states were held, it said.
“Tourism (department) also briefed about the various packages and destinations of the state. The department also held various interactions with the business delegations from different travel trade bodies to ensure a better tourism season for the state,” it added.
