R 49 cr expended on development projects

SRINAGAR: An amount of Rs 49 crore has been used on various developmental projects and welfare schemes in north Kashmir’s district Baramulla till the end of December, government said Tuesday.
An official handout issued here said the figure was stated during a review meeting of the concerned officers held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner (DDC) Baramulla.
The meeting, attended by the Joint Director Planning and other district level officers, reviewed physical and financial achievements under Annual District Plan of 2014-15 in the district, it said.
“It was said that Rs 29.39 crore have been expended under education sector, Rs 6.20 crore under R&B sector, Rs 4.72 crore under PHE sector, Rs 3.38 crore under Rural Development, Rs 2.76 crore under Health sector, Rs 82 lakh for self employment while rest of the amount stands utilized under other sectors in the district during the period,” it said.
