Religious body condemns RSS’s ‘Ghar Wapsi’ programme

Srinagar: Majlis-e-Ittihad-e-Millat (MIM), a conglomerate of religious organizations, Friday condemned the “Ghar Wapsi” programme of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS).
In a statement, a spokesman said MIM was preparing a roadmap to counter this “malicious propaganda.”
“Actions of RSS and other rightwing Hindu organizations should be monitored,” read the statement.
The spokesman also accused world powers of launching a campaign against the Islamic movements.
“Governments in Bangladesh, Syria, Egypt and Israel are perpetrating heinous kinds of repression on Islamic movements and their leaders. Many of leaders and religious scholars are being put behind the bars,” statement said adding that all such actions are being done to stop the growing publicity of Islamists.
MIM asked people around the world to stand against these crimes being perpetrated under the garb of tribunals. “Sheikh Haseena Wajid, General Al Sisi and Bashar al Assad have embarked upon a campaign to execute scholars of repute which is deplorable,” said the statement.
Accusing Arab regimes of criminal silence and being part of the killing campaign on Islamists and oppression of Palestinians the statement described General Al Sisi of Egypt as an Israeli agent. “He is being helped by the monarchy in the region while Sisi has banished many educated Islamists to jails. They only issue statements, just to keep their bases clean. Behind the curtains they too support all the actions against Islamic Movement and the Palestinians.”
