SRINAGAR: Online shopping or e-shopping is developing as a new trend among the youngsters in Kashmir Valley.
Many youths in the Valley now use internet to shop for the products of their choice. The reason, they said, is the convenience associated with e-shopping.
“Online shopping is easy, convenient, and less time consuming. You just have to choose your favorite product and it will be delivered at your doorsteps in a very short span of time,” Iqbal Ahmad, who calls himself an ardent e-shopper, told Kashmir Reader.
Hit among the young e-shoppers are sites such as flipkart, ebay, and myantra. Rather than making purchases from the local markets, the shoppers said they buy dresses, gadgets, and home appliances from these sites.
“I recently purchased a jacket from flipkart because it was available at a lesser price than the market. Before making the purchase, I browsed a number of sites to find a jacket of my choice,” Rouf Ahmad, a resident of Bemina here, said.
“E-shopping gives me the liberty to choose a product from a number of stores. It is something I cannot do otherwise,” he added.
