Abu Zar Charitable Trust organizes camp

SRINAGAR: A charitable trust from Bota Kadal here, Abu Zar Charitable Trust, Sunday organized a free medical camp for the residents of the area.
In a press statement issued here, the head of the trust Altaf Ahmad Bhat said the camp was organized in association with local Masjid committee, which supported the initiative wholeheartedly.
He said at least 500 people were examined at the camp by the doctors. Besides free medical treatment, the people were provided free medicines, he said.
“People, mostly from low income group of surrounding areas thronged the camp from 10am in the morning to 5pm,” he said.
“We didn’t expect so many people to visit the camp. We received an overwhelming response, which has strengthened our resolve to organise more camps in the near future,” he said.
He thanked the doctors including Dr Insha Altaf, Dr Mehvish Afzal, Dr Muiez Bashir, Dr Azhar Hashmi, Dr Sheikh Omar, and Dr Shumayl for their voluntary efforts.
The locals hailed the organizers for arranging the camp.
