Burglary in Tangmarg

BARAMULLA: Burglars Saturday looted a shop cum office of news reporter and took away electronics worth one lakh rupees in north Kashmir’s Tangmarg area.
Sources said that in the intervening night of January 2 and 3 burglars broke the rear window of the office of photog¬rapher cum news reporter, Syed Zakir Bukhari’s shop “Prince Photographer Tangmarg” and looted electronic goods including a brand new computer.
The trader’s fraternity of Tangmarg while expressing concern over the bur¬glary said, “We feel that our goods worth crores in the market shops are insecure until the burglars are not arrested and punished.”
Tangmarg Police registered a case un¬der sections 457, 380 and started the hunt.
Meanwhile Sub-District Magistrate Tangmarg, Sheikh Abdul Qayoom launched anti-encroachment drive on the state land during which a number of illegal structures were raised to ground. The state land comprising an area of more than 170 kanals of land were encroached upon by the unscru¬pulous people.
