HCBA grieved over demises of Turrabi, Khan

SRINAGAR: The Executive Committee of J&K High Court Bar Association (HCBA), Srinagar, Tuesday expressed grief over the demise of Professor Alif-ud-Din Turrabi, who was the Vice President of Pakistan administered Kashmir-based Jamat-I-Islami.
HCBA, in a press statement issued here, said it held a condolence meeting under the chairmanship of its President Mian Qayoom, paying tributes to the Turrabi.
“He was a noted religious scholar, preacher, and propagator of Islam. His vital role in the ongoing freedom struggle of Kashmiris shall be remembered forever,” it said.
The members also expressed sorrow over the demise of Mohammad Ishaq Khan of Baran Pather Batamaloo here. The deceased was the brother-in-law of Javed Azar, the Executive Editor of Urdu daily Kashmir Uzma, the statement said.
Meanwhile, senior pro-freedom leader and chairman of Democratic Freedom Party Tuesday expressed grief over the demise of former ameer Jamaat-e-Islami ( PaK) Professor Aleefuddin Turabi.
