PDP promises ‘Baba Reshi University’

BARAMULLA: People’s Democratic Party’s candidate for Gulmarg constituency, Abbas Wani, Sunday promised to set up a university in Tangmarg if it is elected to power.
“In future, a university on the model of Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University will be set up in Tangmarg in the name of Baba Reshi. A road to connect Poonch with Tangmarg will be constructed to promote tourism in Gulmarg,” Wani said in a rally at Kunzar here.
He was accompanying party patron and Chief Ministerial candidate Mufti Mohammad Sayeed and the Member Parliament Muzaffar Hussain Beigh.
Addressing the rally, Mufti said his party has devised a map for prosperity of the state.
“Times have changed now. PDP wave is in every side of Kashmir. We have devised a map to bring prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir,” he said.
“No pro-freedom leader including Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umar Farooq was under house arrest during PDP’s rule,” Mufti added.
Later, Mufti addressed people in a higher secondary school in Uri here.
“Mohra Power House will be started again and a big trade market will be established in Uri market,” Mufti, who was wearing a bulletproof vest, said.
