To revive post flood tourism, government pursuing ‘reassurance’ plan across India

SRINAGAR: To instill confidence among the tourists visiting the state and enhance their flow post floods, the government is pursuing a reassurance plan where in it is carrying out promotional campaigns across India.
The State Tourism Department along with JK Tourism Development Corporation is presently carrying its campaign at India International Travel Mart (IITM) Hyderabad.
The event aims to bringing the Industry, face-to-face with the travel trade, corporate buyer and the end-customer with the requisite purchasing power.
Various private tour operators from the State are also participating in the three day event. The Department of Tourism is providing publicity material and other related information to the intending tourists at the venue.
A large number of people intending to come to the state along with leading tour operators from across the country visited the stall set up at the event to  for getting information about the present tourism scenario here.
A media interaction was also organized during the event. This is the first Travel Mart in which the Department is participating after the September floods.
To carry further its reassurance plan the department is also planning to take part in various National and International Trade Fairs including SATTEE at New Delhi, TTF Mumbai and IITM Kolkata besides organizing of FAM tours and Tourism conventions.
