SRINAGAR: The Directorate of Health Services Kashmir (DHSK) and the Srinagar International Airport authorities Saturday started a joint weeklong Basic Life Support (BLS) training programme at the Airport here.
“It was realised that imparting the training to airport employees, who are the first to respond to any disaster, is of utmost need. The essence of this training is the use of simulation methodology based on current global protocols,” a press statement issued here by DHSK said.
Besides the employees including police personnel, the training will be imparted to the staff of various airlines, it said.
“It has been for the first time that such advanced training will be imparted at the airport. The trainers will include Dr Iqbal Fatheh, Dr Rashid Parra, Dr Shafaat Rashid, and Dr Ijtaba Shafi,” it said.
“The workshop has been organised by Dr Manzoor Kadri, Dr Arshad Rafi, Dr Danish Malik, and Zahoor Ragi of DHSK,” it added.
