India trying to mislead international community: Khan

Srinagar: JKLF patron-in-chief Amanullah Khan Thursday questioned the holding of elections in presence of 6 lakh troops.
In a statement Amanullah said, “This process is only an eyewash and a ploy to befool the international community. Every sane person can understand the originality of these so- called elections that are being held under the barrel of Indian forces deployed in Jammu Kashmir.”
He said, “How can Indian democracy that has arrested thousands of people including JKLF chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik in the name of these so-called democratic elections claim victory. How can elections conducted under the shadow of fear and blackmailing be termed as democratic?”
Praising the courage and valour of incarcerated Malik and others, he said, “Oppressive measures cannot deter us from pursuing the path of freedom and resistance.”
Meanwhile JKLF spokesman condemned the raids of police and army on the residence of district president Baramulla Abdul Rashid Magloo.
