Srinagar: Hurriyat Conference (M) Thursday said that arrests, raids and harassment of youths show the frustration of the government.
A spokesman of the amalgam said, “Such dictatorial acts depict the frustration and high handedness of the authorities.”
He said, “Imprisoning pro-freedom leadership, placing them under house arrest, and arrest of hundreds of youths violates the basic code of human rights and tenets of democratic principles. Such acts depict the hollowness of the so called democratic election process in Kashmir.”
The spokesman said that even those youths are not being spared who risked their life while saving people in floods “when the government was sleeping.”
