NC always bartered interests of Kashmiris: Sajad Lone

Srinagar: Complementing people for voting in large numbers, Peoples Conference chairman Sajad Lone Wednesday said that National Conference has a history of bartering Kashmiris.
In a statement Lone said, “History is witness that NC has always sacrificed the interests of Kashmiris for the power and always sided with any political party which gave them power in J&K. Right from 1975, the NC has bartered the interests of Kashmiris.”
He said Chief Minister Omar Abdullah should not forget that he was junior minister during the reign of BJP. “NC aligned with BJP at that time when it had clear majority in the state Assembly. NC did so just to secure a ministerial berth for Omar at Centre. When Congress and BJP has dumped it, Omar has suddenly become pro-Kashmir. Why didn’t he worry about the interests of Kashmiris when he was in power,” Lone said.
He said PC is not in alliance with any party. “We will fight the elections on our own and show our strength. Our strength is people of Kashmir who have decided to vote out dynastic parties out of power in this election.”
Complimenting people on voting in large numbers Lone said, “Higher percentage of voting means traditional dynastic parties who were banking on boycott politics are losing ground and new political forces with clean image are emerging in Kashmir.”
