BGSBU holds 2-day conference on innovations

Srinagar: the two-day all India conference on ‘innovations and advancement in Information Technology’ commenced in Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University. The conference is held in collaboration with Government of India and University Grants Commission.
A spokesman of the BGSBU said that the conference is held in order to provide a platform for researchers, academicians, people from the industry and students for exchange of ideas. Vice Chancellor BGSBU, Prof Irshad Ahmed Hamal inaugurated the function. He said the conference has brought together researchers and practitioners to deliberate upon the algorithmic, systemic, applied, social, and educational aspects of information technologies.
Appreciating the efforts of IT Department, Hamal said, “We live in the information age in which IT has become a part of our everyday life. IT can perform number of functions and operations that humans cannot do so everybody should know about the innovations in this field.”
VC said, “BGSBU is trying to provide platform for researchers and academicians to think on these topics and create awareness among the people regarding the best use of information technology.”
