JAMMU: President, J&K Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Indo-Pak), Y.V. Sharma, called on N.N. Vohra, Governor, here at the Raj Bhavan. Sharma sought his help in an early decision to depute the a trade delegation to Pakistan Administered Kashmir and secure agreement , besides frequent meetings of traders from both the sides for ensuring the smooth functioning of the trade.
Sharma apprised the Governor about the present status of the LoC trade and discussed with him several important issues relating to the urgent need for the up-gradation of the existing infrastructure, introduction of banking facilities, installation of full body scanners in the Trade Facilitation Centre on both the routes, expansion in the list of tradeable items.
