DAK to hold hypertension screening camp at Zampakadal

SRINAGAR: The Doctors Association Kashmir (DAK) is organising a hypertension screening and awareness camp at Ahlihadees Masjid Zampakadal near Chattabal here on Wednesday.
“People who are 18 or above years of age and have obesity, diabetes, kidney or heart disease, family history of hypertension, or are smokers shall report for screening. Persons already diagnosed of hypertension shall also visit the camp,” DAK’s President Dr Nisar-ul-Hassan said in a statement issued here on Sunday.
The screening will be done for free, he said.
“Hypertension often has no warning signs or symptoms and many people do not know they have it. Screening will help in diagnosing the disease early,” he added.
