ANANTNAG: Peoples Democratic Party(PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti Saturday said that in order to stop the march of Bharitya Janta Party from coming to power in Kashmir people should vote for her party.
Addressing a series of road shows in Devsar constituency, Mehbooba said, “BJP has started making inroads in Kashmir. The party is trying to enter our homes and is threatening to abrogate the article 370. The only way to counter the dangerous plans of the party is to vote for PDP.”
“You should come forward and make good use of your vote to defeat the designs of the BJP,” she told the people during her rallies.
Stating that chief minister Omar Abdullah is worried about his fate in upcoming polls, Mehbooba said, “Fearing defeat from his family’s traditional bastion Omar chose to contest from Sonawar and Beerwah. He is worried about his fate. Had he been sure about his win he won’t have left Ganderbal. And then his decision to contest from two seats is a clear indication of his worried mind.”
At other rally in south Kashmir she said that there is a PDP wave not only in Kashmir but in Jammu region as well.
“People in the entire state are now fed up with the NC and Congress. They find PDP their only hope. Going by the response of the people in Chinab valley I am confident that we will win majority of the seats to form the government of our own,” Mehbooba told people.
