Kashmir struggle is continuation of Karbala battle: Malik

Srinagar: Detained chairman of JKLF Mohammad Yasin Malik Monday said the Kashmir struggle is “continuation of the battle of Karbala.”
In a message from jail, Malik said, “The struggle in Kashmir is also a continuation of the battle of Karbala. Hussainiat asks and directs us to strengthen the hands of those who fight for the oppressed and remain on their side.”
Malik said, “I have belief that the followers of Imam Hussain (RA) would tread upon the path shown by him and side with oppressed people. Imam Hussain (RA) always sided with oppressed. By boycotting this farce election the followers will ensure that they stand for the truth and justice.”
Asking people to remain united, the JKLF chairman said, “Hussainiat teaches us that at times when we have to choose between oppressed and oppressors, we should always choose oppressed and oppose oppressors at every cost.”
Meanwhile, Yasin Malik has been shifted to Anantnag jail, while JKLF’s vice-chairman advocate Bashir Ahmad Bhat along with Mir Siraj-ud-Din has been shifted to Kupwara jail and general secretary engineer Ghulam Rasool Dar Eidhi has been shifted to Baramulla jail, according to a JKLF spokesman.
