Srinagar: Bridgestone India Pvt. Ltd., subsidiary of one of the world’s largest tyre and rubber companies, the Bridgestone Corporation, Monday announced a contribution of Rs.1 crore fund for the flood affected victims of Jammu and Kashmir.
In a statement a spokesman of the organisation said, “The donation is aimed at providing aid to the affected people and their speedy recovery, along with the rebuilding of infrastructure destroyed during the floods.”
Kazuhiko Mimura, Managing Director, Bridgestone India said, “Our heartfelt sympathies are with all those who were affected by the floods. This is truly an unforeseen and unfortunate incident and we hope to play a part in rebuilding the lives of the people of Jammu and Kashmir.”
