New trade body formed in north Kashmir

Barmullah: Various trade organisations of north Kashmir Wednesday formed the North Kashmir Traders Alliance (NKTA).
Announcing the formation of the new alliance at a press conference, president Traders Federation Baramulla (TFB), Qazi Ishfaq Ahmad and president Traders Federation Sopore, Haji Mohammad Ashraf Ganie announced that a four member committee under the supervision of general secretary TFB Er Tariq Ahmad Magloo will present their demands before the government.
They said, “Due to the recent floods, traders in north Kashmir suffered huge losses but both the Indian and state governments failed to rehabilitate us.”
They accused government officials of failing in their duties of constructing school buildings, bridges and hospitals.
“The historical building of government higher secondary school was gutted in a fire incident and building is yet to be repair. The SRTC bridge was damaged due to floods and is yet to be repaired. A hospital was sanctioned but nothing has happened so far,” they told media men in the press conference.
Ajaz Ahmad Sofi, Abdul Rehman and Mohammad Hussain are other members of NKTA.
