SRINAGAR: Scores of left out candidates for the post of junior engineers Saturday protested against the Service Selection Recruitment Board (SSRB) demanding publishing of marks of both the selectees and rejected lot.
Raising queries the protesting candidates said, “On August 03 we appeared in the written exams for the JE post and now they have issued the list of selected candidates who will appear in the viva exams.” They, however, asked the authorities to publish the points of the candidates who have been selected and who have not made to the next level.
“Why is there such cover up of our points, they should tell us as to how we failed or passed,” said the delegation members.
Aspirants said that the SSB should notify them through newspapers and tell them their rankings. “We demand that they should publish the score cards like they do in competitive exams. That will settle the issue. Otherwise the non publication of it makes us believe that there is something fishy going on inside the SSRB,” they said.
