SRINAGAR: Hurriyat Conference Jammu Kashmir senior leader Shabir Ahmad Shah Thursday asked government of India to allow international aid for Kashmiri flood victims.
In a statement a party spokesman said Shah visited various flood affected areas of Srinagar city and sympathised with the people. Shah said, “India should immediately open up borders for international relief and aid. If that is not done one could witness severe results arising from that.” He said, “If India is really keen for the prosperity of Kashmiris then they have to lift sanctions and open doors for international relief and aid.”
“The coming harsh winters will prove hard for Kashmiris as they will be without homes,” Shah said.
Shah also advised both India and Pakistan to exert control on their armies on the border.
