1-way traffic returns on Rambagh-Jehangir route

SRINAGAR: The Traffic Police Department on Thursday said that only one-way traffic movement from Rambagh to Jehangir Chowk will be allowed from Friday.
According to a spokesman of the department, As per fresh route plan, there will be one way traffic movement from Rambagh towards Jehangir Chowk and no opposite traffic will be allowed in the flyover corridor from Sharegarhi upto Rambagh bridge.
“The traffic movement from city centre to south of the city will be allowed via Jawahar Nagar while LMVs will be allowed to ply via town square mall crossing towards Ramzana Hospital onwards towards bund up to Rambagh,” the spokesman said.
Similarly, he said, all the commercial vehicles have to take LD route to Jawahar Nagar, Jawahar Nagar Bund upto Rambagh Bridge.
People can also avail Bye Pass-Tangpora-Batmaloo route, he said.
“The passenger vehicles which have not got permission from SSP Traffic Srinagar will not be allowed to enter city centre via Rambagh,” he said.
