Srinagar: ‘Athrout’ in collaboration with National Service Scheme of Kashmir University on Monday distributed 300 sanitation kits to flood-hit victims of Srinagar.
In a statement, a spokesman of the KU said, “The victims who were given kits were identified by welfare organization Athrout.”
The spokesman said that NSS coordinator Prof Neelofar Khan while interacting with the victims consoled them and assured all support that is possible for the flood victims.
He said Prof Neelofar lauded the role of ‘Athrout’ in saving valuable lives during the floods. “Athrout is continuously taking care of thousands of flood-hit victims by providing them food, blankets and clothes for the approaching winter,” said Neelofar.
NSS programme officers Dr Shamim Ahmad and Tariq Abdullah and Chairman ‘Athrout’ Bashir Ahmad and his colleagues were also present on the occasion.
