People use boats to pluck apple as flood losses mount

Baramulla: As their village remained flooded, locals of Sumbal area of this north Kashmir district Monday pressed boats to salvage apple from their orchards.
Locals said that villages like Gund Jahangir, Naydkhai, Sumbal, and other villages are still under flood water.
“We have lost almost all property to floods and now we have pressed boats to pluck fruits and salvage whatever little we can and bring losses down to some extent,” Mohammad Yaqoob, fruit grower told Kashmir Reader.
