ANANTNAG: With administration failing to come to their rescue, several people were  trapped in Harnag, Behram Shah, Wanpoo and other villages of this south Kashmir district.
“We have been left at the mercy of God. Almost two stories of our houses have submerged in water. We want to move out from here but nobody has come to our rescue. We have been calling the control room number as well as officials of the district administration since last evening but were told that there are no  boats available,” a resident of Harnag , Bilal Ahmad, told Kashmir Reader over the phone.
He said that children were  terrified due to the flood waters entering the homes. Reports said that three houses and two cowsheds have collapsed in the area.  Additional Deputy Commissioner Anantnag admitted the non-availability of boats and said that they have sought boats from Srinagar.
