Medical-cum-vet camp held in Bandipora

SRINAGAR: A medical-cum-veterinary camp was organized at Koragbal village, tehsil Dawar in Bandipora district under the aegis of army’s ‘Snow Leopard Brigade’.
“Local villagers of Koragbal and large numbers of Gujjar and Bakarwals of all age groups turned up in large numbers to utilize the services. A joint team of doctors from Army Medical Corps, civil and Veterinary Hospital Dawar , provided medical care and treatment. Medicines were distributed in the camp to the villagers of Koragbal and nearby Gujjar and Bakarwals. Special feature of the camp included check up and distribution of iron tablets to pregnant ladies,” an army statement said.
“A total of 240 patients to including 97 males, 78 females and 65 children were benefited by the efforts undertaken by the army. A total of 79 cattle were inspected and treated by the veterinary doctor,” it said.
